UIHub

MCP server

Plug UIHub into your AI coding tools. Your agents get scan_github_repo, export_contract and validate_ui to verify their own UI work. Tools are deterministic — no AI calls, no extra cost.

Claude Desktop — connect with sign-in

Claude Desktop (and other OAuth-capable MCP clients) connect with a browser sign-in — no API key, no config files. Free accounts can sign in; MCP tools require Pro+.

1Add the connector

Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector in Claude Desktop.

2Enter the server URL

https://getuihub.com/api/mcp

3Pick OAuth sign-in

Authentication: Always required (Detected). A browser opens, sign in with your UIHub account, and the tools appear in chat.

ChatGPT — browser or desktop app

ChatGPT (chatgpt.com or the desktop app) connects to MCP servers as plugins. Uses the same OAuth sign-in — no API key, no config files. Free accounts can sign in; MCP tools require Pro+.

1Turn on Developer mode

Open Settings → Security and login and enable Developer mode. This is a one-time step needed to add MCP servers.

2Add the MCP server in Plugins

Open the Plugins section (in the browser: the apps/plugins menu next to your profile; in the desktop app: the plugins area of a chat) and add a custom MCP server.

3Enter the server URL

https://getuihub.com/api/mcp

4Pick OAuth sign-in

Authentication: OAuth (no API key needed). A browser window opens — sign in with your UIHub account and the connection is established.

5Enable the tools in a new chat

MCP tools are enabled per conversation: start a new chat and pick uihub from the tools menu. Then ask something like “validate this file: src/Btn.tsx containing <button className="p-3">x</button>” to see it in action.

If the tools don't appear, make sure Developer mode is on, open a new chat, and select uihub from the tools menu. After we ship server updates, use Refresh on the connection to pull the latest metadata.

CLI tools — API key

Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Zed and Cursor use an API key instead of OAuth. Keys are managed in Profile → API Keys (Pro+).

Once you have a key, the config snippets for each tool are shown right there on the API Keys tab.

See the user guide for the free-plan alternative (export AGENTS.md and tell your agent to follow it).
